Manager, IT Operations

Job summary

The Manager, IT Operations is responsible for the overall issue and request management of all Inovio IT and conferencing services from end users. In addition, the Operations Manager will be responsible for purchasing and managing the inventory of IT software, hardware and peripherals.

The Service Desk team will report directly to the Operations Manager in addition to Inovio’s business phone, audio visual equipment, printer/scanner and after hours service desk managed service providers (MSP.)

Essential job functions and duties

Own and maintain the incident management system (people, process and technology)
Manage IT service desk full time and contract personnel across all Inovio sites
Manage third party MSPs across all Inovio sites
Establish service level agreements with end user community and system owners
Create and implement procedures to deliver on service level agreements
Manage IT Operations projects leveraging Inovio Service Desk, MSP and contract-based resources
Manage all IT purchasing and inventory management
Ensure IT resource owner approvals for all moves, adds and changes
Own all changes, maintenance and support of all AV conferencing equipment and rooms
Act as site manager, coordinating all IT vendor activity for site services
Coordinate conference room maintenance visits between vendors and end user bookings
Visit all Inovio sites quarterly

Minimum requirements

Bachelor Degree or comparable IT certification
5 years’ experience in IT help desk management and support

Experience with Windows 7 and above operating systems
Experience with enterprise end user compute management tools
Experience with ServiceNow incident management system
Strong project management, communication and customer service skills
Quarterly travel to the East Coast facility
